The PedTech Partnership: Shaping the Future of Digital Learning

The PedTech Partnership

The Golden Thread Alliance is now part of the PedTech Partnership, a nationwide initiative bringing together system leaders to ensure that digital technology in schools is equitable, balanced, and high-impact. The PedTech Partnership was created to address a vital question: How can technology enhance learning without compromising wellbeing or widening gaps in access? By collaborating with other forward-thinking Trusts, we are helping to shape a national approach that prioritises pedagogy first technology is used not for its own sake, but to deepen learning, foster creativity, and prepare children for the future.

What does this mean for our schools and children?

  • Equity of Access: Every child deserves the same opportunities to benefit from high-quality digital tools. Through PedTech, we share best practices and strategies to ensure no learner is left behind, building a dignified approach to inclusion.
  • Balanced Approach: We recognise concerns about screen time and wellbeing. This partnership promotes thoughtful integration of technology—supporting learning while safeguarding health and happiness.
  • High-Impact Learning: PedTech focuses on evidence-based practices. By working together, we can harness technology to improve outcomes, personalise learning, and develop essential digital skills for tomorrow’s world.

Being part of this partnership means our schools are not working in isolation. We are contributing to, and benefiting from, a national conversation about what truly matters: pedagogy, inclusion, and preparing children for a rapidly changing future.

We look forward to sharing more updates as this exciting work develops. Together, we can ensure technology serves education – not the other way around.
